Safety & scope
Safety, scope, and accessibility
This page answers plainly what Rooted Reclaimers is and isn't, how we protect your privacy, and where to go when you need more support.
What Rooted Reclaimers offers
Rooted Reclaimers offers education and self-directed practice through free resources, group programs, and community spaces.
It doesn't diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and your own medical, mental-health, and emergency providers stay in charge of your care. Program facilitators teach and run group support, and they don't diagnose or treat individual members inside a program.
Your pace and your choices
- You can adapt, shorten, or skip any practice.
- You can pass on any prompt or question, and sharing your personal history is always optional.
- Cameras are optional in live sessions.
- Every movement practice has a seated or lower-intensity option.
Stop a practice if it causes pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, distress, or worsening symptoms. Return to normal breathing, look around the room, and get support if the feeling continues.
Check with your clinician first if you're pregnant, recovering from surgery or injury, or living with a heart, lung, seizure, or other condition that affects breathing or movement.
Privacy
We collect only the information we need to give you what you asked for.
- Free sign-ups: your first name and email address.
- Paid programs: payment details, which the payment provider handles, plus the intake, consent, and access information we need to support you.
- Health history: free programs don't ask for it, and the paid intake form asks only for what the program needs.
- My Ground Plan on this website: your plan stays in your browser on your device, and we can't see it.
- Retreat eligibility: we record only enrollment dates, membership status, consent preferences, and access needs.
Privacy policy: To be announced · Terms: To be announced
Community boundaries
Every community space follows the same agreements: listen before advising, put consent first, let each member choose how deep to go, respect boundaries, and let members pass at any time. Moderators remove harassment and unsafe advice, and when a member needs more help than a community can give, they help that member find appropriate care. Read the community agreements.
When to look for more support
Please contact a qualified professional if:
- your symptoms are getting worse
- a practice brings up distress that continues after you stop
- you have a question about a medical condition, medication, or injury
- you're having thoughts of harming yourself or another person (use the crisis lines below)
You can find therapist and treatment directories on the free practices page.
Available 24/7 in the US

Outside the US, search for "mental health crisis line" and your country, or contact your local emergency number.
How we talk about research
We use careful language, such as "may support" or "some people notice," and we make a firmer statement only when strong evidence backs it. Individual experiences vary. If you see a claim on this site that seems overstated, please tell us so we can review it.
Accessibility
We want every person who comes to Rooted Reclaimers to be able to take part.
- Every movement practice includes seated or lower-intensity options.
- Program videos include captions, and audio practices include transcripts.
- This website supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, and your device's reduced-motion setting.
- We chose colors with strong contrast, and we never use color alone to show information.
If anything is hard to use, or you need an accommodation to join a program, please contact us, and we'll work with you.
