Lantern Gathering and retreats
Lantern Gathering is the annual Rooted Reclaimers event for members with an established practice. Once we've finished planning the format, we may run it as a retreat.

Eligibility
Who can attend
You can attend a retreat or a retreat-format Lantern Gathering once you've completed at least 30 days in paid Rooted Practice.
Eligibility is only the first requirement. You also register, give consent, plan for any access needs, and pay, and space may be limited.
Only paid Rooted Practice membership counts toward eligibility, so time in the free Rooted Commons community doesn't qualify you by itself.
How we design the gathering
- Scheduled rest, choice, privacy, and quiet time
- Sharing is optional, and facilitators keep the emotional intensity low
- Seated and lower-intensity options for every movement session
- Clear ways to reach professional support if you need it
- We run it as a gathering for practice and community, and we never present it as treatment
Timing
Why it comes later
We'll open Lantern Gathering after the Rooted Reset pilot and Rooted Practice are running well, so the event has tested safety processes, trained staff, and members who already know each other.
Each year we decide whether the gathering will use a retreat format, based on staffing, venue, curriculum, and whether our safety plans are ready. We tell eligible members the dates first.
Leadership
Lantern Carriers
Lantern Carriers are members who have completed formal training and help lead circles or approved programs. It's the fourth role on the Rooted Reclaimers leadership path: Seeker, Reclaimer, Guide, Lantern Carrier, and Steward.
